This is probably the oddest build I've made, but it's actually surprisingly extremely powerful:Personal offensive power, range, armor, block, healing, buffing, debuffing, hordes of summons, this guy's got it all. By the end, I was flooding almost the entire floor with my summons, taking almost no damage (thanks to Barbarism), instantly healing what little damage I did take, freezing every enemy who came anywhere within four squares of me, blasting everything across the floor with Astral/Ice/Fire damage every time I stood still or attacked. No idea how well it would work on earlier cycles (in particular the first one), but this got me through cycle eleven no problem.
...nevermind, still going, this game is way too addicting. Incidentally, for the fifth cycle... I managed to beat the final boss and all of his minions with just two attacks. Psiblade Pugilist Psychonaut wearing a Robe of Dreams is... absurd. Not even just absurdly powerful, though it is, it's... I attack one enemy, and then I am teleport spamming all over the map, throwing around Psychic/Astral beams all over the place until whatever I hit is dead. Seriously, try it if you can, it's hilarious. King of Many Colors is impressive for needing to be hit a second time before dying, though even that is just because the many Demons he started the "battle" with redirected a bunch of attacks away from him on the first hit.
So this has happened on floor entrance 3 times, in 2 different summoner runs. There was no chance of survival the first it happened (entered floor, surrounded by 20+ Slaughs with no tile to move, none of my summons were even on the screen).
Happened twice in a row with the above character (I was obviously able to survive with Ninhurs poison and serpent). Really seems like something that should not happen, considering player summons spawn on closest adjacent tile to the player on entrance to every floor but the 3 I mentioned here.
yeah it's been an ongoing problem. Normal enemies have a two tile minimum distance but when they have "on entrance" summons, the summons can start right next to you, which obviously show up before any of yours can activate -- especially a problem in tight terrains like forests and green stars
I'm loving the Agility + any piercing weapon boost, and combining it's Doge boost, a little lightning, and eventually Barbarism is so many attacks. I wonder if there will ever be a Psychic + Martial prestige class?
My first run back after learning that ultra magus exists, My mind instantly went to dual weilding the scythes with piercing vines, and I destroyed the new red tower boss with it.
P.S. please bring old focus back, I loved the extra attacks on move
I had lots of fun experimenting with this new prestige class. Not sure if shaakhara synergizes with Ur Damu prayer or not, but Wild Club works well with the Tikaani Sash (the ice dmg on blunt dmg sash iirc)
nice, I also just got a win with Barbarism, combined with Dumuzi and all the armor-scaling
armor scaling feels good -- I think there needs to be a power that causes your worn armor to scale up too --- maybe Guard can add armor = Encumbrance * Level
ok good, I think that would be the last loop to remove, I remember this one loop with robe of gore, minion feast, and most of the other blood skills, draining the health of a blood acolyte and a single enemy and fully regening in a single turn
Does the crackling purple and blue sash turn lightning into astral? Or astral into lighning?
If it turns astral into lightning, there may or may not be a thing with a qamar gothi with that sash where lightning damage creates effects creates astral damage creates lightning damage creates effects creates INSTAKILL LOOP
The main problem was just the time it took to load or animate the beams of ice that appeared every time, its just a problem that i generally face with any line based attacks like the hadad ability or most of the lightning things
oh god, that is amazing. I've always been on the cusp of getting psychonaut + the astral robe but have never really seen it functioning, theoretically you get to teleport a bunch of times per turn

this char beat 6th cycle. summon skeletons (allies do lvl*5 death dmg) + cursed flesh (doom on 50 dmg) + cursed skull (free cadaver on 100 dmg) -> all enemies are mass-doomed and you always max out on allies.
still can't figure out how to get the ice/psychic prestige classes...
it is such an honor to me that you've been playing through all the changes. It really makes me happy to hear that
haven't added pure ice, psychic, blood or astral yet, on the immediate list for sure
you're the second I've seen get this far haha, will have to hastily go up to cycle 10 for your ilk, and maybe try to add some other kind of interesting challenge --- the experience gain is so intense, my idea was that veterans would enjoy a "fast mode" with randomly powerful enemies
Well blood is most valuable when paired with martial, so I feel like Executioner is fine as a blood prestige, but a pure Psi would be interesting. Another Idea would be to add a light or water element for skills
Got the mubarizun hadad build to work after a while, although even when i got my prestige and fire stuff going i wasn't sure what to add for the last path which is why there is some random points thrown into poison
I found an infinite battle with arbomancy and writhing monk, also got 1129 corrosion on a vinespawn, insane battle, I suicided to end it, fun but sad run, I made it to red tower before this happened
Again, potential glitch but i have only spent 10 points in fire, but it is displaying the number of points spent as 11, currently trying to make a fire only build work and noticed this happening
I think the issue here is that it's counting certain items in your element count display, but not in actually counting for the prestige class --- just got a similar report about death
I think I'm about to return to having cycle 2. This is the run where I claim my second cycle 1 win. Why is this the one?
I have the fire means 50%astral skirt, Boulder fist, and Shashmar+Pyromaniac+Wormform and 1 pugilism, I effortlessly dealt 7000 in scorch, which is suprisingly higher than the normal damage I am dealing with the rest of my build
I still haven't re-beaten cycle 1, but I've been having a lot of fun with the upgraded priest, using morbumancy and toxokinesis to do massive poison damage.
lost my beaten cycles for some reason, Imma try ice(inflex dorok) build and my summoner build for loops 1 and 2, then mess around with different strats for 3
I haven't gotten back my cycles yet so I'm not sure if its the game, but it triggered either when I restored defaults in the menu, or when I loaded the game while my chromebook was switching internet, both of those happened in pretty quick succession right before my cycles were lost, but I strangely kept my glory and unlocks.
I used an altered form of Viruxcent's willpower build, using a summoner class and the same stats progression, but I used innervation and invigoration rather than power charge, and I had a lot more glory at the end, My vines had too much HP
wait omg yeah, that must have been from the amount of earth mage summon hits and vine scythe procs from psichomorphism 2 and piercing vines stacking on king of many colors, at first he looked nigh invincible, but then my phantasms began hitting him and his health just suddenly plummeted, The DamagePerTurn of this build is actually on par with my executioner build's attacks
I went with a balanced stats executioner build, doing high damage, and originally I thought I wouldn't have the damage to beat the final boss, but then I used hadad's third prayer and kept regening with lvl 2 bloodbath, I love the axe of transmuted rage, it may have no acc, but it rapidly triggers attacks, and that is much more important for my build. The final boss was also the only time I prayed the whole run, I use hadad for the storm of lightning and fire he makes.
couldn't find a good set of leggings or a better helmet so this is what I went with
I've been obsessed with Kull Muzbarzian for a while, I like the synergy and the speed that the two offer when combined, I also use kull templar sometimes.
finally got a mostly WILL only play through. at 180+ dream stacks causes delays cus individual failed summon procs delays round. not a fast play through unlike FISTMAN builds but surely fulfilling if pulled off well with 100s of charge stacks.
pray to summon and heal to build up charges. stand still to set things on into astral shock. boosted heals from arbo is a good save. vines are to slow down fast enemies and diversify damage.
get to 10 will, then 1K hp, 6 str, then all in will.
Not just all, lighting charges on them and they heal off it making the scaling quite reliable.
Best case happens when I fill the map up and permanently stun the map.
Most of the stacks comes from dream minions applying lighting through psycho and lighting main hand.
And or
Dream applying race bonus as astral damage with 50% lightning when mobs spawn in range early.
Quite fascinating to watch the playthrough. you play as teleporting dungeon bringing the bullet hell and mobbing the entire map, while channeling infinitely scaling astral damage.
I have tried with icon of the North main hand and mass summon ice discs but they are actually less effective as they are melee. Not bad early but fall off due to no infinite scaling against king of many colours.
Finally got a win with the fists, this was a pretty simple build but i managed to get up to having somewhere around 900 repulsion on me, and the combo between dorok and the zealot carried me in the early game.
funny story, I was trying to do executioner + pugilism build, but now I can easily build hundreds of repulsion and tons of attacks per turn, and I also learned hadad prayers are busted
I lost to learning a turn too late that Horror Golem has a ranged attack, 1 more turn and I could have burst him down in a single turn, I also had very high dodge.

(I used vile staff & Vine Scythe for most of my run - took it off by accident towards the end)

I'll be honest. Even though I was building a melee character, I wasn't expecting this prestige class to be melee (I will say that I love the results).

I think not, because it's fire-to-astral, unless I'm wrong about what you mean
for the astral-to-lightning infinite Qamar loop, Electromancy would be a stand-still way of doing it

Just got an ice shah and inflexibility build, and i was regenerating like all of my allies every turn
The only downside was that it took forever to do anything because of the ice attacks from the inu greatsword and the summons every action
but what does Ice shah do
that IS a lot of summons from inu greatsword
Yeah it might need to be reworked a little bit just so it's not producing such an overwhelmingly slow gamestate

For next time Psychic has a talent that benefits 2 handed builds, and master repulsion is always useful.

Oh shit, I think restore defaults currently clears your cycles, will definitely fix that

This is great. I'm guessing most of the points were in Pugilism / Psychokinesis (to maximize repulsion stacks)?
